If you have previous summer counseling experience or significant experience in an educational setting (teacher, school counselor, speech pathologist, or school psychologist), and feel ready to take on more responsibility, this role is for you!
Division Leaders act as a liaison between the Directors and the group or division for which they are responsible. This means you will directly supervise campers and counselors, including scheduling, group management, and meal supervision. You will glean direct insights into your efforts as you review daily camper feedback and will be able to implement adjustments as needed. You will be given direct access to Directors, offering you an excellent opportunity to expand upon your leadership and management skills. By participating in daily meetings with the Directors, you will assist them with all activities, group issues, and staff performance, acting as an open line of communication with your counselors and campers.
If you are ready to take the lead and manage both campers and counselors, then apply today! Southampton Camp & Club offers to board to our Division Leaders, who reside outside of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Please note: due to COVID-19 guidelines, any staff member that requires housing as part of employment is required to be fully vaccinated prior to arriving at camp or is willing to arrive early and Southampton Camp & Club will assist you in booking a vaccination spot. If you are not vaccinated but are still interested in a counseling position, please note that you will be required to secure your own housing.
