Activity Specialist Position
Are you a passionate individual who loves to share your knowledge with others? Apply to be an Activity Specialist and dedicate your summer to teaching a fun activity.
With the assistance of our Group Counselors, you’ll provide instruction to campers in your specific area of expertise! We are looking for:
- Lifeguards & Water Safety Instructors (with prior experience teaching swimming!)
- Athletics Instructors: Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball/Softball, Gymnastics
- Outdoor Adventure Specialists for Climbing (with a dash of Team Building!)
- Creative Arts Specialists: Arts & Crafts, Science, Cooking, Nature, STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Maths)
- Performing Arts Instructor: Theater, Dance/Zumba, Music, Yoga
Whatever your passion, there is a role for you. And, if you are just starting out, we offer extra training for certain activities, including a Lifeguard certification course! Spend your summer outdoors doing the thing you love and sharing it with others, refining your own skills as you go. Southampton Camp & Club offers to board to our specialists, who reside outside of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Please note: due to COVID-19 guidelines, any staff member that requires housing as part of employment is required to be fully vaccinated prior to arriving at camp or is willing to arrive early and Southampton Camp & Club will assist you in booking a vaccination spot. If you are not vaccinated but are still interested in a camp position, please note that you will be required to secure your own staff housing.
