At Southampton Camp & Club, we place campers in small groups with high staff-to-camper ratios so that we can best supervise your child and keep YOU informed. Division Leaders and counselors review each camper’s day, EVERY day. Phone calls home and emails sent regularly and proactively by Division Leaders keep you up to date regarding everything from your child’s swim progress to new friendships. Communication is essential in facilitating the most secure environment for our campers and we look forward to being ‘Partners in Parenting’ with all our camp families each summer and throughout the winter.
SCC’s commitment to the health and safety of every child is unsurpassed. At SCC, a child’s emotional safety is as important as his or her physical safety. Staff is trained in CPR, First Aid, AED & Epi-Pen administration, and Responding to Emergencies. Every member of our staff undergoes an extensive training/orientation program prior to camp to ensure that your child is being supervised while having amazing summer.
Brigid is excited for a spirited summer with the 2 + 2.5 year old mini-day stepping stones campers! This is her 9th summer at a TLC camp and her 6th at Southampton, having held positions such as Group Leader, Division Leader, Head of Art & Office Manager previously at camp.
During the year, Brigid is the lower school art teacher at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville, NY. She is also mom to two campers, Philippa & Francis, who were raised at SCC. Brigid holds a Bachelors in Fine Art from the University of Southern California and an MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Brigid infuses each day with her creativity and sense of humor and is looking forward to providing a nurturing and fun-filled experience for both campers and parents.
Dani was born and raised in New York, has been a camper since the age of 3, and is excited to be back at SCC this summer with our mini-day 2.5 + full day 3 year olds.
Dani received her bachelors degree in child and family studies from Syracuse University and a masters degree in health education at Hofstra university. She has over 14 years of experience working with high school students for the NYC DOE. Since relocating to Florida in 2020 she continues to work with with children by holding workshops for teens and parents on various health topics.
Dani has 2 children and is excited to return to SCC with her daughter, Skylar this summer.
Fun Fact: Dani is one minute older than her sister Jessi, and two minutes older than her sister Nicki, having shared 40 summer Birthdays together (she is a triplet!)
Ashley joins us for her third summer at SCC with the 3 year old full day campers, all the way from Toronto, Canada. Ashley has a diverse background working with children from camp, recreation, cruise ship programs and teaching.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and education from Wilfrid Laurier University. During the year Ashley teaches preschool working with children ages 3 and 4 preparing them for elementary school.
She strives to create a warm and nurturing environment where her young campers can grow and experience joy each day! Ashley is excited to welcome our newest campers and families for an incredible summer at SCC!
Anneliese will be returning in 2024 for her 9th summer as a division leader at SCC and her 11th summer with the TLC camp family. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard University and a master’s degree in childhood general and special education from Bankstreet College of Education. Anneliese loves nurturing our 3 & 4 year old campers as they establish meaningful relationships, take positive risks, and build their confidence over the course of the summer.
Outside of camp, Anneliese lives and teaches in Westchester County. For Anneliese, days at SCC are truly a family affair, as her 4 year old son, Jonah, also attends. She understands firsthand how important a meaningful camp experience is for a family, and she can’t wait to make summer of 2024 special for your little ones!
Marie joins us for her first summer at SCC all the way from Toronto, Canada. Marie holds a bachelor’s degree in
Child, Youth, and Family Studies and is licensed in Social Work. With a background in various areas of childhood and adolescence, she currently works with the Canada school board as a Child and Youth Worker (CYW) and Educational Assistant (EA) for special needs children. Marie brings a fun and bubbly personality, excited to showcase all aspects of camp this summer. Marie is dedicated to cultivating a welcoming and nurturing space for young campers to flourish and find happiness each day. She is eagerly looking forward to welcoming our newest campers and families for what promises to be an unforgettable summer at SCC!
Emily is so excited to be returning to SCC for her third summer as a Division Leader for the 5 year old girls, and with Emily running the girls 5s, they will definitely be ‘running the world’ in no time!
Emily has her masters degree in special education, and has a wide range of experience working with children. She taught elementary school for three years in New Jersey, before spending this year as a nanny in NYC.
Emily loves being at SCC, and is committed to bringing her enthusiasm and positive energy into her daily interactions with campers! Emily especially loves teaching SCC campers the STARFISH values. Who runs the world, GIRLS!
Alexa is so excited to be returning to SCC for her fifth summer and second year as a division leader.
During the school year, Alexa is a first grade teacher on Long Island and holds a bachelor’s degree in childhood and middle school education, a master’s degree in childhood special education and will soon begin working towards obtaining a Ph.D in educational literacy this fall.
Alexa oozes fun & creativity, and cannot wait to share this with the 6 year old girls at camp.
Caroline returns for her second year as a division leader and cannot wait to pick up where she left off last summer!
Originally from Guam, Caroline studied early childhood education before spending the last 10 years working for Norwegian Cruise Line out of Hawaii helping to create fun and lasting memories for the young cruisers.
Caroline can’t wait to meet new friends, create wonderful memories, and have life-changing moments with the campers and team at Southampton Camp & Club!
Fun Fact: Caroline was previously part of the women’s Guam soccer national team!
Amanda is super excited to be coming back for her 8th summer season at SCC and her 4th as a Division Leader!
Amanda holds a masters degree in secondary education and a bachelors degree in biology. During the school year Amanda is a middle school Science and NYS Regents living environment teacher at Our Lady of the Hamptons RCS located in the heart of Southampton Village.
Amanda takes pride in all that she does with regards to camp staff relationships, camper relationships and camp spirit and she cannot wait to bring her daily enthusiasm for the Summer of 2024 and to watch her campers have fun and grow each day!
Returning for his third summer, Kevin will once again be joining the 5-year-old boys division for the best camp season yet. He brings with him over 10 years of kids recreation experience from cruise ships, resorts, and camps all over the country. With boundless energy and enthusiasm, Kevin loves being silly and having fun. He can’t wait for camp to start!
During the year, Kevin works as an elementary teacher in upstate New York and holds a master’s degree in early childhood & childhood education.
He places a strong emphasis on compassion and the emotional well-being of his students and campers. Kevin believes every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and understood. He absolutely loves working with kids and sees summer camp as an excellent time to form positive relationships, build
confidence, and just have fun!
Fun fact: Kevin completed his student teaching in Queensland, Australia!
Adam is ecstatic to return to SCC for his fifth summer and third as the Division Leader for our 6 Year Old Boys!
During the school year, Adam teaches 9th and 11th grade social studies on Long Island. He holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz in adolescent education and has his master’s degree in ENL from SUNY Stony Brook University.
Adam cannot wait to put his spirit and energy into his leadership position and to help create a summer to remember for her division of 6 Year Old Boys! B-O-Y-S, BOYS, BOYS, BOYS!
Fun fact: Adam loves the television show Survivor so much he has (unsuccessfully)applied for the last 9 years.
Bobby will be returning to Southampton for his 7th summer, and second as a division leader for the 7 year old boys.
Bobby holds a bachelor’s degree in history with minors in German & Jewish studies and a masters in adolescent education. He has also begun a second masters in special education in order to pursue a career as a high school history teacher on Long island.
Fun fact: Bobby (Pitcher) has played 2 years D1 College Baseball at Fairleigh Dickinson University, as well as 5 years of D3 Baseball at SUNY New Paltz!
Max is very excited to be returning to Boys Side at SCC this summer. Max has been a lifelong camper, and all of those years were spent either attending or working at one of the TLC Family camps; this will mark Max’s ninth year at SCC!
Other than being a proud dad to two great boys, ages 4 and 12-months, Max lives with his family in New Rochelle, New York. Max holds dual masters degrees from Columbia Teachers College, and works as a school psychologist for the Dobbs Ferry School District in Westchester, New York. Before that, he worked for the NYC Department of Education in the same role.
Camp holds a special place for Max, as he recognizes it was somewhere that allowed him to foster his confidence, skills, and unique passion for working with kids. Max cannot wait to welcome another group of campers to SCC, and hopes to impart those same feelings and experiences on his campers, and make sure they too know the magic of camp, the way he has.
This will be Samantha’s third year at SCC! Samantha graduated from the University of Rhode Island, where she received her B.S. in Education in 2009, and from Caldwell University with her M.Ed. in 2023. At the start of her career, Samantha was an early intervention specialist and a paraprofessional at a private ABA-based school. She then transitioned into a full-time special education teacher for many years. During the current off-season, she is a Learning Disability Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of special education and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Her role as a Behavioral Consultant at an insurance-based ABA company, involves overseeing and training multiple teachers, paraprofessionals, and behavioral therapists in Northern New Jersey. Samantha hopes to use her work experience and her knowledge of SCC to make your loved ones’ summer an unforgettable one!
Shoshannah has been part of SCC for the past 6 summers and is returning for her 7th summer as Swim Director. She comes from a long camp life, starting at day camp at 3 years old, and really grew up at sleepaway camp, as the owner’s daughter. Her parents owned a summer sleepaway camp (not too far from SCC’s sister camp – Tyler Hill) for children and adults with special needs for almost 18 years. Camp is in her blood!
Professionally, Shoshannah has a background and has worked as both a music therapist and a therapeutic recreation specialist for almost 25 years, holding a masters in each discipline. During the school year, she is a Level III Teaching Assistant in special education on Long Island.
Rory is delighted to be back for his fifth summer at Southampton Camp & Club! This will be Rory’s ninth summer at camp, having previously worked for four summers at a sleepaway camp prior to SCC.
Rory is excited to step into the role of running Club Art & assisting with Program.
During the year, Rory works at a pre-school on the Upper East Side with our assistant director, Jackie.
Tony, husband of full-time Associate Director, Kristina, is excited to return for his second summer at SCC.
A former elementary physical education teacher in NYC, Tony brings a great deal of knowledge and experience of working with children of all ages. Tony has been part of the TLC Family of Camps since 2010 where he held a number of positions at Timber Lake West, where he also met his future wife, Kristina.
During the year, Tony is the Director of FAST Roslyn, the official athletic affiliation of the TLC Family off Camps, where he coaches children aged 18 months all the way up to 10 year olds in a variety of sports and skill development programs.
Tony can’t wait to share more summers in Southampton with his wife, Kristina and his 6 year old son, Rowan!
Montana is so excited to be returning to SCC for her fourth summer. Montana will be leading the programming team this summer and focusing her time ensuring campers are having the best summer possible.
During the year Montana is based in England and works full time for an international camp staffing agency (yes, she loves camp that much!).
Montana is looking forward to another amazing summer and is hoping to catch a show on Broadway while in New York, she loves the theatre and has even appeared on the West End herself!
Sophia is ecstatic to re-join SCC for her 6th summer, having previously been a counselor, group leader, bus counselor, and nanny at camp.
Sophia has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Adelphi University, and currently is working full time as an Oncology Nurse in NYC. Following the summer, Sophia plans on pursuing a masters and hopes to obtain her nurse practitioner’s license in the near future.
Sophia couldn’t be more excited to be back at her favorite place and combining her love of nursing & working with kids at SCC.
Fun Fact: Sophia loves working with children so much that she also works as a dance teacher at a private school in NYC when she is not making rounds in the hospital!
