Meet The Team: Food Service!
Following on from our introduction of our new Maintenance team in our ‘Meet The Team’ blogs, we introduce you to our Food Service department; Head Chef & Food Service Director, Greg.
Greg, Head Chef & Food Service Director: A native of Rockaway, Queens NY, Greg will bring an abundance of knowledge relating to food & nutrition, ordering, and of course, food preparation. His passion for working with food is second to none, and he is very excited for the first of many summers in Southampton.
Greg graduated with honors from the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie, NY, and has spent the majority of his career working in Manhattan. As a certified Executive Chef and certified Chef Instructor, Greg has taught at The New York Restaurant School, and managed kitchens at well-known Manhattan establishments such as Hotel St. Moritz (Central Park South), and Moran’s (Chelsea). He has also spent time working as a Consultant Chef at Cherry Valley Country Club in Garden City, Long Island. Following this, Greg has branched out into private catering, and has even catered numerous events attended by President Bill Clinton & former First Lady, Senator, and U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Greg is also involved with charities and has supported the Long Island Harvest for a number of years.
More recently, Greg joined the Timber Lake Family Of Camps, and has been with the company for the last 9 years working as the Head Chef for North Shore Day School in Glen Cove, Long Island.
Greg currently lives with his wife of 30 years in Long Island, and has 3 adult children.
