Crafty Corner with Crafty Lady: Pumpkin Shaped Rice Krispy Treats
It’s almost Halloween! Raise your hand if you already finished the first round of Halloween candy and need to get more for the actual day? Ok hands down. So I thought for this installment of Crafty Lady we could make a sweet Halloween treat for everyone (or just you) to enjoy!
How simple are Rice Krispy treats to make? They are so easy, it’s scary. (Halloween pun intended) Here is the recipe to create Pumpkin Shaped Rice Krispy treats. It’s the traditional Rice Krispy treat recipe and what you’ll need to Halloween-ify them.
Ingredients:
-6 cups of Rice Krispy cereal
-3 tablespoons butter
-10 oz bag of marshmallows
-orange food coloring (or red and yellow to mix together)
-tootsie rolls
Directions:
Melt butter over low heat and add in the marshmallows. Stir constantly until melted and remove from heat. Add in a few drops of food coloring. Mix in the cereal. Form small balls into the shape of pumpkins. Helpful tip: add a little cooking spray to your hands prior to rolling so you have less to lick off your hands. Cut tootsie rolls in half and stick into the top of each pumpkin for the stem. There ya have it! Adorable Pumpkin Rice Krispy treats!
As always, share pics of your camper with us on Instagram! Happy Halloween SCC!
